Our board approved the project in April and held a public announcemtent event on May 12. Approximately 70 people turned out to show their support for Food Front Hillsdale and 28 new owners signed up. Thank you!

•You can shop whether or not you are a member-owner.

•You do not have to work/volunteer to be a member-owner.

•Other members of your household can get Food Front cards. They do not have to buy a share.

• Your owner share is not an annual fee or a contribution, it is a share in the business that retains its value and that you can sell back at any time, for any reason.

What makes a co-op special? You make it happen!
A co-op is a business in which many people pool their resources to create something that serves their needs and their community--like a grocery store. A co-op can not be sold or closed without a vote of its member-owners. Food Front will be in Hillsdale as long as we support it through buying owner shares and shopping at the store. This is incredibly empowering. You actually make it happen!
